The Q10 could very well end up being BlackBerry's cash cow. After being out in one market for just over 3 days, it has already become a company in the U.K.'s number 1 selling tech device ever.
Today, Bloomberg has published a video interview with the BlackBerry CEO, Thorsten Heins, in which they discuss the Q10 among other BlackBerry related topics. Something interesting that definitely caught our attention was Thorsten's response to the interviewer's question, "what will constitute success with this launch?"
After indicating that the Q10 is geared towards their installed base of 70m users+, and that production is ready for high demand, Heins stated that BlackBerry has high expectations for the Q10 in a somewhat specific numerical goal.
"Expectations are high against the installed base, so we expect several tens of millions of units."
Thorsten, we definitely think and hope you are right on the money! If you want to check out the full interview, check out the source link below.
