In the world of Canadian wireless carriers, you must always be willing to bring something new & upbeat to keep your subscribers from jumping ship. I've personally used a TELUS device as my personal device for the last 5-6 years because I believe that TELUS offers a more complete & customer-oriented model that many of it's other competitors.
During the recent Canadian Wireless Tradeshow, Brent Johnston (TELUS VP of Mobility Solutions) said that TELUS would be implementing more cost-saving functions to their postpaid users in upcoming months.
This morning, TELUS announced several changes that will be coming to their postpaid subscribers rolling out over the next few weeks:
- Removal of $35 Activation Fee (Effective: Oct 15th, 2012)
- Removal of $25 Equipment Exchange Fee (Effective: Oct 15th, 2012)
- Charging $10 for SIM cards (Effective: Nov 1st, 2012)
- Cost of Unlocking a Device Lowered from $50 to $35 (Effective: Oct 15th,2012)
