• Shares Drop As Home Depot Drops BlackBerry For iPhone

Home Depot, one of the U.S largest home improvement retailers, have confirmed that they will be parting ways with their BlackBerry devices and moving to iPhones. A spokesman for the retailer confirmed to Appleinsider that the home improvement retailer would be replacing some 10,000 BlackBerry smartphones. "We are replacing our current base of BlackBerry technology with iPhones," said Stephen Holmes, a spokesman for Home Depot.

The news of the worlds fifth largest retailer moving to iPhones sent BlackBerry shares down 3.8 percent on Monday, trumping the news of BlackBerrys latest phone the Z10. It was not clear whether the decision was made before or after the launch of BlackBerry 10. BlackBerry 10 has made a strong impression in Britain, Canada, and the UAE, but in the U.S the devices are still not yet available. The Z10 is supposed to makes its U.S debut sometime next month.
