Chinese-based app development company, S4BB, have put out a press release today saying they have submitted 138,792 more BlackBerry 10 apps to BlackBerry World. If you recall, S4BB was heavily criticized back in August for the ridiculous amount of apps they had submitted to BlackBerry World up to that point, over 47,000. With these new 130k new submissions, they will have quadrupled their total number of apps in BlackBerry World, and they could soon be on their way to over 200,000 apps submitted.
According to the press release, S4BB is aiming to serve a specific niche market with its city guides, etc. One does have to wonder how committed they'd be to these niche markets if BlackBerry charged per app submitted after the first 100, 500 or even 1000 apps submitted to BlackBerry World.
While this will definitely inflate BlackBerry World's total app count (we've reached out to BlackBerry to see what the updated tally is), it doesn't help the overall quality of the store front, and that's what needs the most help.
