• RIM Is "On Track" To Release BlackBerry 10 On Time

In this morning's presentation, RIM CEO, Thorsten Heins, made it a point to emphasize that the company is "on track" to releasing BlackBerry 10 on time. In an interview with Bloomberg, CMO Frank Boulben confirmed just how many carrier partners RIM has engaged. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Boulben reported hearing words such as "Unique, revolutionary, really slick." Boulben just returned from a trip that included stops at some of the markets where BlackBerry is still the coolest kid on the block such as: Singapore, Mumbai and Johannesburg.

Boulben also commented on recent reports that user growth for BlackBerry has stagnated. He mentioned the fact that there is an ever increasing user base in places like India and Africa. Reportedly, RIM will have another event early next year to showcase the final hardware for the BB10 phones, including the QWERTY model, yet to be seen in leaks or otherwise. Boulben said that the exact timing of the launch of BB10 phones in the Americas, Australia, Asia and Africa will depend on how long it takes the carriers to test the handsets.

He closed his interview by adding: “In the last five years there hasn’t a groundbreaking new experience and we believe in this one you have all the ingredients,” he said.

We couldn't agree more. RIM believes in its developers, and from what we've seen today, Developers believe in RIM.
