  • RIM's Official Statement On Kodak Patent Infringement Suit

It looks like RIM's round 2 counter suit against Kodak will be delayed upon the woes of Kodak recently filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy. The judge overruling the case has moved the date for a court ruling to September 21, 2012. If you remember, just about a year ago to the day, a Judge ruled against Kodak in their attack on RIM in a patent infringement case. Here is RIM's official statement regarding the trial delay:

RIM is ready and willing to proceed to trial today but Kodak asked the court to delay the trial until August. Moreover, RIM is willing to pay for its use of valid patents--RIM pays hundreds of millions of dollars annually for patent licenses. But RIM believes that Kodak's main patent in this dispute, the '218, is neither valid nor infringed and RIM's position was supported by one of the nation's most respected patent judges, the International Trade Commission's Chief Judge Luckern.
The way things are looking upon the situation with Kodak, this suit may never get a chance to go to trial. RIM seems to be holding their ground though. We'll keep you posted on any updates or changes.

Sounds like a battery issue. Get yourself a new battery and hopefully, that will solve your problem. If you've already done that, try reloading your os.
