RIM And Etisalat Show Exclusive Preview Of BES10 To UAE Businesses

RIM has partnered with UAE's leading telecom provider Etisalat to hold an exclusive preview for over 200 business partners. The businesses were among the first in the region to get an exclusive preview of RIM's all-in-one MDM solution, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10. The event targeted Etisalat's enterprise customers and showed off various features of BES10.

"Etisalat is delighted to be the first telecom service provider in the region to offer an exclusive preview of the BlackBerry 10 platform that will match the expectations of our enterprise customers in the UAE. Our long standing relationship with RIM has provided our corporate customers with mobility solutions that are critical to boosting productivity and maintaining a business edge. RIM has been our trusted partner for many years and therefore we are equally excited to see what the next generation of BlackBerry solutions has to offer," the company said.

Among those in attendance included Etihad, Emirates Airlines, Emirates NBD, HSBC and Nakheel. "I'm very excited about BlackBerry Enterprise Server 10, particularly the seamless migration from BlackBerry Enterprise Server v5.0, and the management of the various types of profiles on a single device. It has a lot of new features which I believe companies will benefit from, and will also help to improve the productivity and security of business.", said Ahmed Ibrahim Al Ahmed, CIO for Nakheel.

RIM has been continuing to promote its new enterprise mobile management system, and has already made it available for download.

With BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10, administrators can create separate enterprise and personal profiles on BlackBerry 10 devices, enabling employees to use one device for all their needs," said Robert Bose, Regional Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, RIM.
