We reported yesterday that the BlackBerry 10 launch will be officially held on January 30th, 2013. However, it was uncertain at the time when these new BlackBerry 10 devices would become available for consumer purchase. There were rumors floating around that the new smartphones wouldn't be available till March, keeping in line with RIM's Q1 promise of availability.
Today, Reuters has reported that RIM COO, Kristian Tear, has stated that the BlackBerry 10 devices will be available and in stores "not too long after" the launch. The COO goes onto say, "We're working hard right now to make sure all the bits and pieces and all the details are in place for the date, when the devices will be available for consumers and enterprises."
So, worry not, my fellow BlackBerry fanatics. We will have BlackBerry 10 devices in our hands around the launch date! Now it's just a matter of figuring out whether we want full touch or qwerty... or both!
