Research In Motion's social media domination has officially been recognized in the latest S&P/TSX 60 Index for Canada.
The index examined 25 different Canadian companies and how well their brands are represented on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
The results were actually really interesting as RIM was pinned up against major carriers like Telus, and Rogers, banks like SunLife Financial and major news agency, Reuters.
This really shouldn't come as a surprise since the BlackBerry accounts on all these networks is extremely active and engaging. Between Twitter and Facebook alone, the BlackBerry brand has accumulated over 1.5m followers and over 12m likes. That's insanely impressive.
It's not just about the actual figures or numbers though, but instead it's about the content. If you follow @BlackBerry on Twitter then you know exactly what I mean. The wittiness, the humor, the little things that really help us as end users identify with the brand are reflected excellently on their social media accounts.
Keep up the good work, RIM!
