Tungle.me, a cloud-based scheduling application that syncs your calender items will all your social networking accounts and your calendar program, has been acquired by RIM today. Hopefully, this will lead the way to additional features in the BlackBerry Operating system, which will most probably be widely embraced. Tungle already has a BlackBerry application, available here, but they should now discontinue development on it, while focusing on integrating it within RIM's OS. Tungle currently supports Microsoft Outlook, Google Calendar, iCal/Entourage, Lotus Notes, LotusLive, Windows Live, and Yahoo!
Today we are pleased to announce that Tungle has joined Research In Motion (RIM). We’re excited that the Tungle team is bringing their expertise in cloud-based, cross-platform, calendar management to the BlackBerry platform.
