• Review: Motorola Elite Flip Bluetooth Headset

The Motorola Elite Flip Bluetooth Headset is modern and elegant looking high-end Bluetooth headset with NFC capabilities for those who need a hands-free mobile solution for answering calls (and even for listening to some music although you would only get music in one ear).

This headset is uniquely similar to a feature we found in the BBM Music Gateway as it can be connected to your phone via a NFC connection which would both turn on the Bluetooth on your NFC enabled BlackBerry device (such as the BlackBerry Bold 99xx Series) and connected your device to the headset hassle free without having to enter any codes or passkeys. If you happen to have a device that does not have NFC capabilities (such as the BlackBerry Torch 98xx Series), you can connect to the headset using the more traditional route of connecting via your Bluetooth settings menu.

The headset comes with three different types of ear loops for you too choose the fit which best suits you.

Another special feature about this headset is that the tip of the headset (the grey portion where the mic is) flips out to turn on the device and acts as the microphone and the headset is turned off by folding the microphone into the headset. While this is a neat way to integrate the on-off button into the headset, I found this a bit bothersome as I was unable to wear the headset while it was off (to save battery) since the folded headset is a bit thick when folded and is not too comfortable to be kept on.

The unique folding microphone is the on-off switch on this headset

    Features:
    - HD Audio Plus
    - My MotoSpeak (Speech program which can be used for Android devices)
    - 300 ft Bluetooth Range
