• Reuters - Cisco, Google, Samsung, And Others Discussing Bidding For BlackBerry

Fairfax Financial is currently the only company to have made an official bid for BlackBerry. However, during its period of "due diligence" (the 45 days BlackBerry has to explore other possible bids), it's not surprising that other companies may mull over jumping in as well.

This evening, Reuters has posted an exclusive report indicating some major tech companies could be in the running for BlackBerry. Google, Cisco, LG, SAP, and even Samsung are rumored to be discussing possible bids for the Canadian giant. No word on whether they will actually make bids, but it's definitely interesting to see some companies are acknowledging the value BlackBerry could contain.

Unlike what we believe with the Fairfax Financial bid, a deal by other companies could potentially break up BlackBerry into several pieces, and even make our favorite brand disappear as whole. Hopefully this doesn't happen, but in the end BlackBerry will decide its fate if it receives bids by other companies.
