For the past three weeks I’ve had the pleasure to do a hands on review of the Jabra Stealth Bluetooth headset. Please believe me that when I say pleasure, I truly mean it. The Jabra Stealth is by far the best Bluetooth headset that I have ever used. If you want to bring your Bluetooth up to par with your BlackBerry 10 smartphone, the clearest choice is to get the Jabra Stealth.
The Jabra Stealth is a very light and thin headset with an incredible battery life. I was pleasantly surprised when Jabra said you can get up to 6 hours of talk time but I though I’d get 5 hours at the most. When Jabra says 6 hours, they mean 6 hours. A simple press of the side button tells you in a crisp, clear voice just how long talk time you have.Being a hockey dad, I've spent more than enough time at the rink answering and making calls while watching my two boys play hockey. The Stealth packs a wallop with talk time.
The Stealth uses what Jabra calls, “microPOWER” battery technology. This allows the long talk time, which you would find in larger Bluetooth devices and an unmatched thinness you find nowhere else..
Another feature of the Jabra Stealth is the dedicated voice command button located on the edge of the headset. Jabra advertises this as designed to work with Siri and Google Now but rest assured that the fantastic BlackBerry Assistant works just as well to provide you with your hands free assistant. You get the BlackBerry Assistant’s pleasing voice in your ear and it’s able to understand you clearly via the Stealth.
Comfort comes with the Jabra Stealth and I’m a stickler for comfort. I wear glasses so anything over the ear in the way of a ear hook can be bothersome but, the Jabra Stealth provides ear buds to make a snug fit so you can place the device in your ear. Jabra also provides over the ear, ear hooks if you prefer the security of the over the ear feeling.
Call clarity is the best that I’ve ever experienced with the Jabra Stealth. You get clear, precise phone calls and that is the result of Jabra’s Noise Blackout technology. Noise Blackout isolates your voice against loud background noises and filters out the unnecessary noise and leaves your clear voice.
My overall opinion is the Jabra Stealth IS the Bluetooth headset you should have to accompany your BlackBerry or other brand phone. The lightness of the earpiece, the quality of the phone calls,, the talk time and most of all, the integration of BlackBerry Assistant makes the Jabra Stealth the Bluetooth headphone a must have for any BlackBerry smartphone owner. If I had any cons on the device...heck, I'm still trying to find some.
The Jabra Stealth can be purchased for $99.99 from Jabra.
