• Product Review: BlackBerry Leap Flex Shell Case

When you pick up the BlackBerry Leap, you first notice how thin it is and if you're like me, you want to keep that feeling of thinness on the Leap even when you want to put a case on the device to protect it. That is why I like the BlackBerry Flex Shell for the Leap. It's thin design and firm structure are just the proper combination to keep your Leap safe.

The Flex Shell for the Leap not only provides protection but acts as a stand for your hands free BBM Video chat as well as watching movies, videos and TV shows. I found this a nice touch that was added. The angle of the stand can be adjusted just by moving the flexible plastic tongue up or down. Plus it has a small cutout so not to cover the Leap's lone speaker.

The BlackBerry Flex Shell allows for access to your power button, headphone jack, volume control buttons, charging port and your memory card / SIM Card port without having to remove the case. The design provided protection to the edges of the Leap which is where you'd need it the most. The front edges of the Flex Shell extend out a bit, creating a gap to keep your screen scratch free if/when you place your Leap screen down to let it sleep.

The Flex Shell is currently available in Storm Blue and traditional Black for $29.99. Upcoming is a Military Green color, available on April 24th, 2015. The price for the BlackBerry Military Green Leap Flex Shell is $19.99. All of the Leap Flex Shells come with one screen protector.

I like this Flex Shell for the BlackBerry Leap. I found it sturdy and reliable. It has enough protection for my needs and the stand functioned wonderfully when needed hands free operation. The price is reasonable and if you want to keep your BlackBerry Leap all BlackBerry branded, then the BlackBerry Flex Shell for the Leap is the shell casing for your needs.
