  • OS 10.2.0.1445 Beta Now Available For Developers

Developers now have a new beta 10.2 OS available to them officially. The BlackBerry Dev Blog has posted the news today along with a change log.

The notable additions to this BlackBerry 10.2 SDK OS update are:

    • Updates and fixes for background/headless service support
    • Ability to connect a device with the BlackBerry 10.2 SDK OS to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 for testing BlackBerry 10.2 while using Balance

If you're a developer, you'll definitely want to get your hands on this update as soon as possible. If you're not a dev, and are wondering you can load this OS on your device, the answer is yes, but you will have some limitations.

As with any developer OS, the build is not complete. Certain things like social apps, media apps, and clock are missing, so if you still want to try it out, by all means go ahead, but be warned that it's not a full build.
