An Ode To BBM: You Are Now A Word... Officially

Okay, so maybe this isn't going to rhyme but it's still cool to know that BBM is now officially a word!

With around 2.3 million BBMs being sent across the globe every minute, it's no surprise this was bound to happen. While some love pointing the lack of innovation RIM's struggled with in the past, many quickly forget one of the coolest inventions ever brought to technology, BlackBerry Messenger (or as we know it, BBM).

The inclusion of the word BBM definitely gives merit to how meaningful communication is within the BlackBerry community. When you think BlackBerry, you think BBM. Simple as that. It has made our lives easier, faster and helped so many of us meet and keep in contact with new and old friends all over the world.

So since it's in the dictionary now, what's the official definition of BBM?

It brings me special joy to know that it's also considered a verb. My fellow blogger, Milton, and I couldn't agree on whether it's grammatically correct to say "BBM me" (verb) or if it had to be "send me a BBM" (noun only). I'm guessing now the argument is settled.
