• Next Version of BBM Bringing Larger File Uploads And More Sharing

After yesterday's Twitter leak from the head of BBM, Jeff Gadway - we've now been treated to confirmation in an official post that BBM will indeed be bringing larger file transfer sizes to BBM.

Currently, the limit for sending files over BBM is just 6MB, but Gadway confirms that the next version of BBM will be pushing that limit up to 16MB. As Mr Gadway puts it,

The 6MB transfer limit today allows you to send 6 seconds of 1080p HD video (recorded on a BlackBerry Z30 smartphone). With the increase to 16MB, you will be able to send 16 seconds of video using the same settings.
Not content with this, we've also been told that we will see the ability to share pictures in multi-person chats and larger BBM emoticons.

Couple that with the upcoming stickers and BBM shop features, the next version of BBM is shaping up to be another great release.

"We’re taking your feedback," Said Gadway, "and we’re trying to knock it out of the park by bringing new features and improvements to BBM on a regular basis."

You can say that again! The rapid development of BBM on multiple platforms with so many new features is something that any BBM user can look forward to.
