• More Leaked images of the BlackBerry ‘Venice’ Slider appear

The BlackBerry ‘Venice’ Slider leaks keep flowing and now there is even more images and information coming to light from Android Authority. Hopefully this is a sign that we don’t have to wait much longer for the official announcement from BlackBerry.

According to Android Authority the model that is shown has the model number STV100-6 (meaning there is potential of up to 6 variations). The device is reported to have a 5.4-inch screen, sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 80 1.8GHz processor, 3GB of RAM and 18MP OIS dual flash camera.

The software is reported as being very close to a vanilla Android load, with some BlackBerry features added. The boot screen is reported to feature an image of a bugdroid holding up a shield and shows “Powered by Android” below the BlackBerry logo.

The added BlackBerry software and features include a new application switcher and shortcut/widget selection menus. It appears you can add communications shortcuts for different types of messaging platforms and be able to add meetings, calendar events and the current day’s agenda from your home screen. There is also a recently opened apps menu where the application changes size based on how often you use each app.

We’re expecting the Venice to be announced in the coming weeks and have a targeted release time of November. We also expect the device to launch on all four major US carriers and have had a confirmed device working on Telus in Canada.
