  • Mobihand Purchased By OpenMobile Worldwide For $15,000

Back in September, Mobihand shut down its app stores online, and there hasn't been much in terms of news about them since then, until today. Mobihand/Mobireach and its assets have been purchased by OpenMobile Worldwide in an auction, reports BlackBerryCool.

Mobihand was the biggest app store around for BlackBerry before App World (now known as BlackBerry World) ever existed. Unfortunately, over the time the company lost money, stopped giving payments out to developers, and to this day still owes certain devs sums upwards of $10,000.

This purchase by OpenMobile Worldwide seems to put a final nail on the coffin of what once was Mobihand.
