It's been a little while since I reviewed KalemSoft for BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry PlayBook, and I've heard from the developers that they have been working hard to make the app even better. After some extensive "testing" I'm happy to see that a lot of the niggles with the app have been remedied.
The main problem with the app was that playback would suffer if you framed it or opened another app. That's a big issue for a phone. Now you can frame the app or put your BlackBerry on standby it will carry on playing just like it should.
Another nice touch is that the BlackBerry 10 version has some sweet visualisations when playing back music. These can be turned on and off so that you don't have to sit and tumble into psychedelic visions if you don't want to.
Probably one of the most noticeable changes is a refreshed UI. One of my issues was that the buttons were quite small and didn't seem particularly responsive. This is much better now and the whole app fits together better.
There are other small improvements made such as KalemSoft remembering your place in the library when you reopen the app.
It's great to see such improvements being made by the developer. KalemSoft still stands as the must have music streaming app for me, and if you have a huge music library on your computer, I'd suggest diving in and giving it a go.
