If you don't know what an unlocked Android runtime is, you're not alone. I personally had no idea this existed, but apparently the Android runtime that is on your device currently, has certain limitations that allow BlackBerry to control what an app can and can't do. This is one of the reasons why certain apps require a debug token to work when sideloaded, for example.
This evening, a new leak has popped up that gets rid of all these roadblocks, an unlocked Android runtime. The leak itself is a two part sideload. There are two BAR files that must be sideloaded together. So far, this has apparently been tested with every BlackBerry 10 device out right now, and it works. Unfortunately, the OS is a restriction as they will only work with OS 10.2. If you haven't loaded a leaked OS, check out the latest one (at the time we wrote this) here for the Z10, and here for the Q10/Q5/Z10 STL100-1.
As with any leak, OS or parts of one, we are not responsible if you eff up your device in any way, shape or form, so please only sideload this if you're sure you know what you're doing. Check out the download link below!
