If you own a BlackBerry smartphone right now, you should feel like you're one in a million. Well, actually more like 1 in 100, according to the latest IDC's mobile market share report. The findings indicate BlackBerry recorded the largest year-over-year decline among the leading operating systems during 3Q13, down 41%.
Last month, comScore's market share report showed us BlackBerry was still #3 in the U.S., but unfortunately, this has not carried over to other areas of the world. Windows Phone keeps up the pace at #3 worldwide, and BlackBerry keeps slipping. Some drastic changes in sales, and marketing are needed if BlackBerry intends on sticking around. Let's hope their new CEO can turn things around.
