• Japan Will Not Get The New BlackBerry 10 Phones

The global launch of BlackBerry 10 and the new Z10 and Q10 phones shown at the launch event last week will not make it to the shores of Japan. According to a report from the Nikkei, Japan's stock market, BlackBerry will not sell the new BlackBerry 10 phones in Japan because of declining market share which BlackBerry "cannot justify the cost of modifying it's operating system to accommodate the Japanese language."

According to BlackBerry, this is indeed true but they are not abandoning Japan entirely. Even though Japan is not a "major market" for BlackBerry, BlackBerry does indeed intend to "continue to support BlackBerry customers in Japan."
