  • Iris, HID and RIM Announce More NFC Support For BlackBerry


    Today, Iris ID Systems Inc. and HID Global have announced that the IrisAccess platform iCAM7000 can be used with the NFC enabled BlackBerry Bold 9900/30 smartphones. For many, HID cards are on them every day in order to access their office buildings/work sites. With today's announcement, we get one more step closer to many being able to replace these HID cards with their BlackBerry devices. How cool is that going to be?

    We've seen NFC be used for file transfers of many types but seeing it be potentially used in real-word useful situation is something that will take this tech over the top. Check out the full press release below.
