Coming on the heels of the news that 45% of new BlackBerry Z10 sales came from other platform users,
comes the wonderful news that the BlackBerry Z10 has sold out in just two days. Thorsten Heins, BlackBerry CEO, speaking at the Communitech Tech Leadership Conference told his audience just how well the BlackBerry Z10 had sold.
"We shipped into the channel product that we thought would have been good for at least five days and I got an emergency call from our manager in India, saying that they were sold out in two days," said Heins. "Now we are scrambling to re-load that channel."
Seeing that the Z10 is really a high end device and traditionally lower end, entry level devices have sold better in India, this is some very impressive news. We can only hope that the world wide sales of the Z10 help to buoy the fourth quarter financial results.
Can the Z10 and later the Q10 turn BlackBerry around? Will the fact that the Z10 had sold out in India start a fire that will see it sell out in other countries when it is launched? Let us know in the comments below.
