Rumblings have been coming in that Verizon had discontinued the BlackBerry Z30. It hasn't been available for sale on their website for a while and when I called the sales line at Verizon, I was told that they were not able to order the Z30 as they were providing warranty replacements only. A call to three local Verizon stores in my area came back with the same results. The BlackBerry Z30 has been "discontinued" by Verizon. The only BlackBerry phones for sale currently are the Q10z Z10 and the 9930.
This may be the case but there has been no official word from Verizon that this is true. It could be that the Z30 IS
discontinued but not under EOL (End Of Life) status, meaning that Verizon still will support the Z30 as seen by the recent OS 10.2.1.3289 update.
iI's puzzling but not totally shocking. Verizon sold the Z30 in a minimal number of stores but purchasing online was the way to get your Z30 from Big Red.
This raises a question: Will Verizon carry the BlackBerry Passport, the Classic and/or the 4G LTE version of the BlackBerry Z3? We will endeavor to answer this question promptly. But in the meantime, let us know what your thoughts are about this possible news?
