A very interesting find came down the pike today. It's possible to get the BlackBerry Hub on your PlayBook, via a backdoor through BlackBerry Bridge on your BlackBerry 10 phone. It's an exciting find for sure but it is short lived excitement because the Hub is non-functioning once you get it up on your PlayBook. It is however a fascinating insight of what may lie ahead if BlackBerry does indeed choose to keep updating the BlackBerry Bridge and allow some functions of BlackBerry 10 on the PlayBook.
To get the BlackBerry Hub on your PlayBook, you need to pair your BlackBerry PlayBook with your BlackBerry 10 phone. The phone must have the latest Bridge update available. You then need to click on an email hyperlink in a BBM Message (I had my son send me his email address in a BBM Message). I then clicked the email hyperlink on the PlayBook and the PlayBook brings up an compose screen. You can then click on the button on the lower left hand corner and it will bring up the message accounts on your BlackBerry 10 phone. You won't be able to do anything with the accounts because there is no information other than the account names shared.
So, if you have the time and want to see what the future may hold for the PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 features, go ahead and give it a try.
