BlackBerryOS.com - Game Review: The Froggies Game
  • Game Review: The Froggies Game

Every now and then I come across a game that is simple yet really fun to play. The Froggies Games is a simple action arcade game where the object is to save the frogs from falling into the waterhole. Why frogs would not want to go in to the water is any anyone guess, but I still liked the concept of bouncing things off a lily pad.

The main goal of this game is really straight forward. All you need to do is save as many frogs as you can from falling into the waterhole. Sounds easy right? The catch is the more frogs you save the faster they come and after a while you will find yourself with quite a few frogs coming your way.

As you progress you will notice various creatures falling aimilessly from the sky. Green frogs, red frogs, a crazy pigeon, a snail, and a "paratrooper" are few of the ones you will encounter. Some have special powers, while others add or subtract points. This makes the game even more interesting because you never know when they will appear.

In addition to the various creatures falling from the sky, one also has the chance to obtain "rainbow powers". Each one of these powers will either enhance your lily pad or have an effect on the environment.

I was really surprised to see the amount of achievements offered. After playing for a while I started to realize that acheivements where a large part of this game. Which is great, because most gamers like being rewarded for their accomplishments in a game. So if you enjoy earning achievements you will not be disappointed here.

So if you are feeling a little froggy, you can head on over to BlackBerry World and download The Froggies Game free. Don't forget to post your high scores below.
