Friday Tip: Type BlackBerry Logos On Your BlackBerry 10

A nice feature of using a BlackBerry is word substitution. It's an old trick but I'm going to show you how to type out both the classic BlackBerry logo that has been used since it was available on the BlackBerry OS devices, and the new complete BlackBerry logo that is available in BlackBerry 10.

First of all, you need to open up this post in the BlackBerry browser. Tap and hold on one of the following logos, and tap the copy icon. Now open up the Word Substitution area of the Settings app. If you're not sure where to find it - check out the guide video below.

Once in there, you need to create the word substitution for each BlackBerry logo.

You need to choose a code that you will type in to create the logo. I use bbl (short for BlackBerry Logo) and bbll for the second BlackBerry logo. Now, each time that you type in the code and press space, the text will be replaced with the BlackBerry logo that you have chosen.

If you type something like All the cool kids are using  instead of  it will look like this:
Great, eh?

This is nice and easy to show your support for BlackBerry with other BBM users or anything else you want to do to express yourself in a BlackBerry-related way.
