• Friday Tip: Send A Web Link To Your BlackBerry... Fast!

How many times do you find yourself wishing you could transfer a web page that you're looking at to your BlackBerry Browser? Loads - that's how many times.

I wanted to share with all you boys and girls here at BBOS how I work around this problem with the minimal of fuss. So let's get started.

First of all, load up your favourite desktop browser. You're going to need to install a plugin or extension. In my example, I'm using Chromium to work my wizardry.

Open the browser's "app store" and search for QR. In Chrome / Chromium, when the results appear you need to select the Extensions option. Hopefully, you'll see a bundle of extensions. I've installed the QR Code-tag Extension but honestly it doesn't matter which one you choose.

Once you hit a webpage that you want to send to the phone - you need to activate your QR Code extension. In the shot here, I'm showing a code to access the BlackBerryOS Z10 giveaway.

Next, grab your BlackBerry and load up a QR code reader. BlackBerry World on BlackBerry 7, Smart Tags on BlackBerry 10, or a number of choices in BlackBerry World on the PlayBook are all available to you. Point the camera to the code on your display and then it should be able to open it on your device.

Voila! Instant transfer of pages to any BlackBerry device from your desktop. You can use pretty much any plugin, and any QR scanner on your BlackBerry. I find that this is a quick and easy way to grab web pages that I either want to share on BBM or just read later while I'm on the move.

HELP!!!!!! Z10 is really messed up.

If all else fails, you may need to intentionally brick your phone. You can achieve this by running the Auto Loader you downloaded. As soon as it begins
