• FlyCraft For PlayBook Coming This Week!

About a couple weeks ago we reported about a new game coming from the makers of Pop Corny, called FlyCraft. FlyCraft is essentially being crafted into a full game exclusively for the PlayBook platform by developers, Harry and Thanasis, through the Ludum Date October Challenge. This challenge gives developers one month to develop a game for their platform of choosing, which will compete against other games for popularity.

FlyCraft is a game about crafting flying machines. You take up the role of Herbie, a chubby Ladybug, who is too bored to fly by himself and creates whatever wild contraption you can imagine to fly from one flower to the other. You get to utilize wood boards, steel plates, soda cans, firework rockets, propellers, and other wild items that you can combine in any creative way you can conceive. Will it fly or it will fall like a brick? There is only one way to know: throw it off a cliff.
We just got a hold of a sneek peak video of the FlyCraft game in action, and let's just say that I think we may have an Angry Birds competitor. The gameplay and idea behind FlyCraft is genius. It looks like a load of fun, and I can't wait to play it!

We need to support the developers on this one for their hard work during their one month challenge. Make sure to check out the FlyCraft website here, and also follow them on Twitter @FlyCraftGame. If all goes well, the developers said the game will be released this week!

Check out the video below of leaked footage from Herbie's hidden fly machine testing facility, and leave us your thoughts on what looks to be a spectacular game:
