This morning OS version 10.0.6.386 was released for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha device, however, some users running Windows on their computer were experiencing difficulties with receiving updates via Desktop Manager. This evening Tim Neil (Director of Developer Tools at RIM), via the BlackBerry Support forums has provided a fix that has seems to have resolve the issues for those experiencing difficulties with receiving update via Desktop Manager.

    • Close Desktop Manger
    • Navigate to the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • Delete the SLSURL entry
    • Delete the WebSLURL entry.
    • Start up Desktop Manager and look for the update

According to some users in the support forum, this solution seems to have solved their issues with finding the update. If you were having issues with updating your os before, let us know in the forums if this solution is working for you.
