This morning OS version 10.0.6.386 was released for the BlackBerry Dev Alpha device, however, some users running Windows on their computer were experiencing difficulties with receiving updates via Desktop Manager. This evening Tim Neil (Director of Developer Tools at RIM), via the BlackBerry Support forums has provided a fix that has seems to have resolve the issues for those experiencing difficulties with receiving update via Desktop Manager.
- Close Desktop Manger
- Navigate to the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Research In Motion\AppLoader
- Delete the SLSURL entry
- Delete the WebSLURL entry.
- Start up Desktop Manager and look for the update
