Yesterday, we let you guys know about a new update for the Foursquare for BlackBerry app.
I didn't suspect there to be anything new with this update, but it turns out there was. Foursquare has officially introduced a new feature into their mobile app, which they are calling the "Logged-Out Explore," and is first available on BlackBerry (no, that's not a typo).
This new "Explore" feature allows a non-registered user to try foursquare and explore his/her surrounding and even check-in without ever having to sign up.
The fact that BlackBerry is the first to get this feature should definitely not be overlooked either. When Facebook v5 first came out on iOS and Android, most of us were bummed out at having to wait, what we thought would be an eternity. Turns out, it took less than 20 days for it to be updated for us as well.
And now, we're getting a feature before anyone else does. Feels pretty cool.
Foursquare has been supportive of BlackBerry for a very long time, and will continue to do so when BlackBerry 10 launches, as they showed at BlackBerry Jam Americas this year.
