In another step closer to actual release, the BlackBerry Passport has cleared the Federal Communication Commission's requirements for data and specs for new devices in the USA. In the paperwork, the NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) is ended on Sept. 12, 2014 which "suspiciously" is when BlackBerry is speculated to hold their launch event in London, UK.
The BlackBerry Passport holds both GSM and CDMA radios so the phone should be available and work on most networks. The filed paperwork shows that the Passports include GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1900, WCDMA/HSPA FDD 2, 4, 5, LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 13, 17.
