"There is no time. We made it up."- George Carlin
The above quote is true. Time is a man made subject and no matter how much we hate it, being man, we tend to follow things we've made. And time does march on , much to our chagrin. So when the people at Evernote announced that they would stop support for their versions for the PlayBook and BBOS 7 as of February 7th, who could blame them? Time marches on.
If you do use those platforms, your information, notes, etc will still be available from Evernote's web portal. You just won't be able to access them from the BBOS 7 and PlayBook platforms anymore. However, BlackBerry 10 OS support is still active and ongoing.
The Evernote team explained their decisions in a concise fashion:
As of February 7th, we'll be retiring Evernote Hello, Evernote Peek, Evernote for BlackBerry 7, and Evernote for BlackBerry PlayBook. This means they'll no longer be available for download and we won't be making any further updates to them. It also means that the apps or features within the apps, including sync with Evernote, will no longer work. / We're focusing on modern operating systems and have a great version of Evernote for BlackBerry 10.
