A recent study conducted by the IDC among Mexico's largest companies (over 250 employees), shows how absolute BlackBerry's dominance in the enterprise arena in Latin America really is. The study concludes that over 79.4% of these companies run BlackBerry devices throughout their corporate channels.
Moreover, after interviewing companies with 1,000+ employees in seven different South American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, México, Perú and Venezuela), IDC's study showed over 65% of them use BlackBerry smartphones.

According to Celia Sarauza, analyst at IDC, RIM's leadership is due to the fact that "security is a very important factor for companies" and as we all know, that's something that BlackBerry not only leads in, but continues to excel at.
