• Devs: Things To know To Prepare Yourself For BlackBerry Jam Americas



    With BlackBerry Jam Americas 2012 less than a week away. RIM has sent out a email that has a list of knowledge to make sure that your experience from now, during the conference, till the time you leave, will go smoothly. Having been to these types of events. I can say that you will be overwhelmed if you don't mentally prepare yourself ahead of time. Thanks to RIM for being on top of things and sending out this information:

    Remember to schedule your sessions using the My Scheduler Tool to reserve your seat in the breakout and hands-on lab sessions you want to attend.

    When You Arrive

    The first thing you should do after arriving at the San Jose Convention Center, 150 West San Carlos Street, is visit the Registration Desk. Check in and pick up your conference badge, which must be worn to access all conference activities.

    Monday 3:00pm-8:00pm
    Tuesday 7:00am-8:00pm
    Wednesday 8:00am-7:00pm
    Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm

    Get to know the conference area by familiarizing yourself with the BlackBerry Jam Americas Conference Map. Catch up on all BlackBerry Jam Social Feeds. Visit the Social Lounge in the Jam Space during the conference. We encourage you to tweet your conference observations for those who couldn't attend #BBJam.

    Tuesday, September 25

    Join us in the General Session at 8:30am, where you can get a comprehensive overview of the upcoming BlackBerry® 10 platform from Research In Motion® (RIM®) executives, including:

    Visit the BlackBerry Booth for some hands on time with BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha devices and to see the QNX concept car, a Porsche 911.

    Purchase some new accessories and BlackBerry gear at the BlackBerry Store. We've got incredibly low prices just for BlackBerry Jam Americas attendees!

    Have some fun at the Gaming Stations and play some of the popular games in BlackBerry App World for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

    The BlackBerry Jam Appreciation Event happens from 7:00pm-10:00pm at The Tech Museum, 201 South Market Street, a short walk from the San Jose Convention Center. Enjoy an evening of fun, games and networking with your fellow attendees.

    Hi Harmeling68, your advice was spot on, went and checked font, found it set at 10, reduced it to 8 then 7 and for me 7 is best, all text is clear
