• Citrix Receiver For PlayBook Updated To Version 0.9.1, Adds Support For SSL/TLS Connections

A few weeks ago we were excited to report that the Citrix Receiver for the BlackBerry PlayBook was available. We are now happy to report that it has recently been updated to version 0.9.1. This update adds support for some major transport security protocols, and components.

Along with the Citrix Receiver, Citrix Systems also provide secure access solutions Access Gateway Enterprise, and Secure Gateway. Version 0.9.1 provides support for Access Gateway Enterprise 9.x, and Secure Gateway 3.2. Companies want to know that their users can access applications in a secure manor. In addition to adding support for AGE, and SG 3.2, support for the following security protocols have been added: SSL ( Secure Socket Layer), TLS ( Transport Layer Security), SSL Relay, and Secure ICA.

Here is the list of whats new:
    • Support for Access Gateway Enterprise 9.x and Secure Gateway 3.2
    • Support for SSL/TLS connections, SSL Relay and SecureICA
