BlackBerryOS.com - BrickBreaker Coming To BlackBerry 10!
  • BrickBreaker Coming To BlackBerry 10!

Fans of BrickBricker – you’re quids in! We’ve recently got confirmation that a new version of BrickBreaker – BrickBreaker X – is coming to BlackBerry 10!

I’ve managed to get a play with a version that isn’t quite complete. My BlackBerry source informed me that this is an older version and recent releases have more game modes and improved audio. I have noticed that there were some sounds either missing or not syncing with the gameplay but that's understandable being pre-release.

Despite this I’m really impressed with this version. There’s loads of 3D goodness going on. As you blast away the blocks they fall away from the screen while anti-powerups throb and block your view. Also, the gameplay becomes incredibly frantic as you progress through the game.

Another exciting development - and the reason why it's not available yet - multiplayer is also being implemented! You will be able to play head-to-head over wifi on a local network with other BlackBerry 10 friends. Each player takes a paddle at opposite ends of the game board and scores as many points as possible while trying to get the ball past the other player.

I'm genuinely excited and already love the version that I have and I cannot wait to see this drop in BlackBerry World! I’m really looking forward to blasting my friends on BrickBreaker!

Check out the pics below. We'll be posting a video soon.

UPDATE: Sorry everyone! But this was indeed an April's Fools post.
