• BlackBerry World To Introduce Fairer Pricing In UK And Eurozone

It's been no secret that for some time non-US BlackBerry users have been paying a premium for apps as BlackBerry World has been pricing 99c apps as £1 and €1, skewing the amount paid for apps.

Finally there seems to be some movement to bring fairer prices to other currencies as developers have recently been contacted by the BlackBerry Developer team to let them know about upcoming changes.

The good news for Europeans is that the pricing for those 99c apps will be £0.75 in the UK and €0.89 in the rest of Europe.

This is good news as it also brings app prices closer in line with Apple and Google stores as well.

    The pricing update states:

The goal of this adjustment is to ensure prices are in line with currency fluctuations and ensure content within BlackBerry World is competitive
I expect these pricing changes to go live around the time of BlackBerry 10 handset availability so that there's no sudden price changes in the BlackBerry World storefront.
