Renders of a possible new BlackBerry phone have surfaced. The good people over at N4BB have got their hands on some renders and the spec sheet of the BlackBerry "Rio Z20. The "Rio" seems to be a step up from the cancelled "Manitoba" device, which was basically the BlackBerry Z3 LTE edition.
The "Rio" is a mid-level device according to the specs but the look of the "Rio" Z20 varies a bit from the Z3. Where the Z3 has a small speaker on the back, the "Rio" has a larger speaker for better sound (hopefully). The "Rio's" Volume keys, SIM and SD Card access port are swapped. The glass bezel for the camera housing is elongated, like it is on the BlackBerry Classic. The Z3 has a small square bezel for the camera.
The "Rio" is slated for possible release to the EMEA, LATAM and APAC regions but it is unknown if the "Rio" will make it to North America. There is no word on pricing but it is hoped it will be priced around the $220-$250 area.
