In an article published by Seeking Alpha, contributor Jean-Christophe Larismont did a little digging into the sales posted by SFR, one of France's largest telecom companies. SFR has a subscriber base of 21 million customers and posts by order, the best selling devices from their network on their site. What he noticed was remarkable.
In terms of sales, "the Blackberry Q10 is the top selling smartphone at SFR, ahead of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One respectively." And one other interesting tidbit that was noticed was that the BlackBerry Z10, based on the pages of "best selling devices", is outselling the Apple iPhone 5 as well as the Galaxy S3, Xperia Z and the LG Optimus.
Does this mean that the BlackBerry Q10 is the panacea of all of BlackBerry's woes? Hardly. But it does show that BlackBerry's fortunes are in a turn around and strong sales in other countries are a decent indicator of how the new era of BlackBerry is taking shape.
What do you think? Does this mean good news for BlackBerry in the long run? Let us know in the comments below.
