Verizon hasn't been shy from day one that they'll be carrying the PRIV
in the foreseeable future, and it would seem that we are now getting much closer to a launch date on Big Red. During BlackBerry's Q3 FY2016 Earnings call a few weeks ago, John Chen mentioned that AT&T exclusivity on the BlackBerry Priv would be expiring after 60 days
. With the exclusivity almost up, it's no surprise that carrier-specific variants are bound to start appearing in the USA.
Last week, the BlackBerry PRIV variant for Verizon made its appearance on the FCC approval list
for requirements for data and specs for new devices in the USA. In the paperwork, the document confidentiality agreements is ending on January 20th, 2016.
No definitive release date has been made public, but we will make sure to keep you updated on any developments.
