With AT&T's exclusivity on BlackBerry Priv
nearing it's end, credible information on the device's availability with other carriers is bound to start appearing.
According to a internal schedule image leaked by
PhoneArena, T-Mobile is set to launch the "BlackBerry Venice" on January 26th. As you may recall, Venice was the
codename for the BlackBerry PRIV during testing.
Back in November, T-Mobile provided
a quite vague response to the possibility of adding the BlackBerry Priv to their lineup. As such, we advise you to take all rumored information with a grain of salt.
As it currently stands, you can only purchase a BlackBerry Priv in the USA via AT&T, ShopBlackBerry, Amazon or Wal-Mart.
With
Verizon's FCC filings set to expire confidentiality on 01/20/2016, could BlackBerry be positioning themselves for a multi-carrier release of the Priv in late January? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
In the meantime, here is a photo tweeted in late November by
John Chen, showing T-Mobile CEO John Legere with a BlackBerry Priv.
