BlackBerryOS.com - BlackBerry PlayBook Tops In Tablet Security
  • BlackBerry PlayBook Tops In Tablet Security

BlackBerry. The name has become synonymous with security. Those of us that have a BlackBerry phone know our phones are built for security. RIM's BlackBerry PlayBook is also built for security. When RIM announced that they were getting into the tablet market, they made it clear that they were making the Playbook for dual use in personal and business purposes. And the results of a tablet security study back up the great work RIM did with the Playbook.

Context Information Security conducted a study on three tablets, the Apple iPad, the BlackBerry PlayBook and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Their comparison study found that of the three, the BlackBerry Playbook was the most secure in Enterprise security and separated personal and business data the best of the three.

One thing that the report did stress is the fact that how much security plays into the trend of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in business situations and that the importance of more secure devices are indeed needed in the future of consumer tablets in corporate environment.

Feel safe in knowing that if you do use your BlackBerry PlayBook for a personal and business device, you are among the top of the security elite.
