• Is BlackBerry Planning A Developer Limited Edition Q10?

Update: Colorware has reached out to us to let us know that the picture above is from their website promoting their custom color painting services for the BlackBerry Q10.

During the days leading up to the BlackBerry 10 launch, BlackBerry started a trade-up program to reward developers with a special limited edition Z10 device if they created a BlackBerry 10 app and traded in their Dev Alpha device. This program was to reward and give incentive to developers who were loyal to BlackBerry, as well as boast more quality apps for BlackBerry 10.

Now, per a photo of a red Q10 that was sent into us, it looks like BlackBerry may be doing the same thing once more for the Dev Alpha C devices that were given out to developers. The pictured Q10 has that same color and texture of the original Z10 Limited Edition Dev device.

While BlackBerry has made no mention that a red Q10 Limited Edition trade-up program would be taking place for Dev Alpha C devices, there may be more going on behind the scenes that we haven't been told yet.

We've reached out to PR for an answer on this, and I'll be updating this article when we have something more.
