Today, BlackBerry has released Secure Work Space for BES10. During BlackBerry Live the company told us that we would see it launch this summer. The Secure Work Space for BES10 allows Android and iOS devices to have company data separated in a way much like BlackBerry Balance does natively for BlackBerry 10 devices. Data within the work space will be transported via a secure encrypted tunnel between the device and its corporate network. The device must be connected to a BES10 environment in order for it to work.
BlackBerry continues to do well within the enterprise market. The company hopes to gain control over the mobile computing market using their newly release BlackBerry 10 platform.
"With an integrated management console, our clients can now see all of the devices they have on their network, manage those devices and connect to them securely," and "We now also have a secure work space on Android and iOS that allows our clients to secure and manage the data on those devices as well." said BlackBerry's Head of Mobile Computing David Smith.
