Veronica O, PR for RIM, sent me a message today to let all of you know that with BlackBerry Jam Americas now being less than a month away, there are some important things you should consider to prepare yourself, whether you have already registered to attend, or not:
BlackBerry Jam Americas, formerly BlackBerry DevCon, is less than one month away with registration in full swing and more session and catalog content being added every day (http://www.blackberryjamconference.com). Developers, designers, enterprise partners and industry leaders attending the show will experience first-hand the latest application development tools for the BlackBerry 10 platform.
The show takes place from September 25 through 27 at the San Jose Convention Center, and attendees will be among the first to get hands-on time with updated BlackBerry 10 SDKs (Software Development Kits) for BlackBerry WebWorks/HTML5, Native, Cascades, Adobe AIR and the BlackBerry 10 Runtime for Android Apps through labs, tutorials and expert-led sessions.
Opportunities for developers at BlackBerry Jam Americas include:
- Learn how to take advantage of the BlackBerry 10 platform’s key differentiators – integration at deep levels of the OS, sharing through social APIs, and integration with other third party applications for smooth and seamless transitions between apps
- Collaborate with experts on code and find a path to port or convert without learning new languages, a key benefit of the BlackBerry 10 platform’s open ecosystem and its ability to support multiple tools and environments
- A unique opportunity to explore new BlackBerry 10 tools and application capabilities. The BlackBerry 10 platform leads in open source standards and offers features that can be built into apps that drive user engagement and loyalty, enthusiasm and the ability to share apps and app experiences
- Dive into the new APIs and features through Sessions, Tutorials, Hands-on labs, and meet and greet opportunities with RIM BlackBerry platform experts
