"Many of you have already heard about the 5.8 scale earthquake that wobbled its way through the DC, Virginia area. We know from history that whenever there is a crisis people pick up the phone, and immediately call their loved ones to make sure they are okay. This sudden spike in calls creates a "call spike", and, in return blocks, everyone else from making calls.
To the normal person brief interruptions may be looked at as minor annoyances. In the business world these minor interruptions cost money, lots of money. In a recent article by Bloomberg, BlackBerry was noted to rise to the occasion and continue to push out emails despite the outages. I too am a witness to this little device's resilience, as it kept pumping out emails and text messages as if nothing ever happened. This is proof that BlackBerry is rock solid."
- How was your service during the quake? Did your BlackBerry continue to function just as well? Let us know in the forums!
