Just as I suspected earlier when we reported
that App World was down for maintenance, RIM has officially
transitioned "BlackBerry App World" to simply, "BlackBerry World." Yep, from now on the storefront will no longer be known as BlackBerry App World.
The change is due to the many new digital goods that will be added to the store. With BlackBerry 10 you will be able to purchase movies, music, tv shows, and apps all in one place. Hence, the change to simply BlackBerry World. No sense in having it named App World when there are more than just apps, right?
Now for a new arising conundrum... what will RIM call the BlackBerry World conference event?
